Chapter one

It was the first mistake and it happened before Alexius gained his power and conquered his nemesis. In order to fulfill his dream Alexius asked Paris, his loyal counselor and trusted friend, to look after Althea.

The premonition was so real and it came to Paris the night before Althea came to visit her fiancé, Alexius. The premonition led Paris to believe that he might fall in love wit Althea and it would lead to a destruction of this kingdom

Paris, who knew the consequences of this, was trying to convince Alexius that this was not a good idea. But Alexius didn’t listen. He trusted him and he thought Paris’ premonition was only a dream.

The day when Althea came and introduced to Paris, he knew that the premonition was correct. No man could resist the charm and beautiful Althea, princess of Darian and when he looked at Althea’s face, Paris knew that he must do something before it was too late.

Again, the night before Alexius went to war, Paris had another premonition and this time it lasted longer than before and he could sense something was indeed not right. So he asked the King to have a leave so he could return to his homeland.

His parents welcomed him happily and there he met his fiancé for the first time.

Selene is a smart, vibrant and kind woman. She was perfect match for him and according to his parent. They are soulmate for each other. Paris saw Selene as an ordinary woman but her kind heart captured his heart.

That time he saw an opportunity to challenge his premonition. He could return to the palace and bring Selene as his wife. By that he could change his premonition.

It was true, his prediction that by bringing Selene to the palace, Althea didn’t feel lonely and soon both of them become friends. Paris was smiling happily knowing that he could actually change

It was then one night six months after Alexius left tragedy happened, one of the minister, Adrian, was captivated with Selene’s beautifulness and by all means tried to win her heart.

Selene was faithful and loyal wife he refused all minister’s wish but this was brought up his anger. One night Adrian ordered his men to captured Selene and raped her. She was ashamed of this and decided to end her life.

Paris, who was aware of this, hurriedly came home but it was too late. Selene died in his arms. With frustration and anger consumed him. He headed towards Adrian’s house seeking for revenge.

Alethea, who knew Paris’ intention, was trying to prevent him. But anger took control and blinded him. He didn’t stop and continued his way.

Frantically Althea told the king but again it was too late. Paris killed Adrian. The king ordered him a death sentence. Althea was not willing to see Alexius’ best friend died, desperately trying to contact him.

Alexius was winning the war and returned to his homeland with victory. At the same time at the city hall, Paris was ordered to be hanged.

Althea hurriedly informed Alexius. He convinced the king and saved Paris’ life. Was it the wise choice, even Alexius didn’t know that.

Disillusion Paris was drunk when he was thinking about Selene and accidentally met Althea. Saw Selene in Althae, Paris couldn’t resist the urge inside his heart. He couldn’t help himself and dragged Althea away.

Two weeks before Alexius’ wedding ceremony, he found out that his best friend kidnapped his fiancé. Again their path crossed and fate spread its wing. Anger took control of everything.

Alexius ordered his men to search for Paris and Althea, only to face final destiny, death.

In the run, Paris who was became more and more disillusion lost his sanity. He tried to bring Althea further away fro Alexius and even by Althea persuasion, Paris didn’t listen.

His guilt towards Selene’s death caused him loosing his conscious that he no longer aware of Althea position in Alexius’ heart. Until the feud between them became inevitable. Althea stood between to men and couldn’t bear to see two friends fought she was willing to give up her life to threatened them but evil took control as both of them kept fighting.

Althea saw that Alexius’ has lost lots of energy and would definitely loose the battle. She was running to shield Alexius from Paris’ sword and it cost her life. Alexius was devastated when Althea died in his arms.

Paris, who saw this happened, remembered the night when Selene died and it hit him. He regained his consciousness but it was too late. Althea had died and Alexius, who was filled with misery decided to end his life in front of Paris.

Watching this happened Paris couldn’t bear the pain, shouting through the sky asking for reasons until he ran out energy and dropped onto the floor like ragged doll.
